CEPOF OF UNICAMP (University of Campinas) USES BLUEPEX FIREWALL TO GUARANTEE DATA SAFETY

The solution will protect the system, where secret information on research and innovations are processed.
The Optics and Photonics Research Center of the University of Campinas (CePOF) adopted the Bluepex firewall to protect and to guarantee the security of data transmitted through the intranet and Internet. This appliance is a security barrier to protect the institution’s network against unauthorized external accesses.

Bluepex, company headquartered in Sao Paulo, focused on development and production of Appliances for Internet usage management, in corporative networks, is conquering space in the market with a solution to block the entrance of undesirable messages, spams, in the company’s mailboxes. Already consecrated as the main virtual plague, the spam traffic registered a 77% increase, according to information given by the Computer Emergency Readiness Team in Brazil (Cert.Br), during the month of May 2006.

QUALIX ADOPTS BLUEPEX FIREWALL

Qualix, a company specialized in cleaning, collection, transportation and disposal of urban residues, has just set up a Bluepex firewall Appliance. The objective is to protect and to guarantee the security of data transmitted through the intranet of the company and the Internet.
The Appliance protects the corporate network against unauthorized external accesses. Inside the Qualix, this tool will make the security of eleven branches, locate in such regions as Teresina, Feira de Santana, Brasilia, Hortolândia and São Paulo. “Further on, the firewall provided increase in productivity. We have 300 users connected to web and the filtering to many software and sites have decreased the possibilities of malicious code installation, beyond preventing the unrelated navigation to work”, points out the company’s network manager, Daniel Luconi.
